Our current pastor at Morgan Chapel Free Will Baptist has served God here since August of 2003.  Before coming to Morgan Chapel Free Will Baptist he served as youth minister at Little Doe Free Will Baptist for 7 years.  He is a member of the Toe River Free Will Baptist Association and serves as the clerk for the association.  He was married to his wife Celena (Sluder) Whitehead on May 17, 1997 and they have one son Seth.  He is actively involved with a group of men and women who go to Mexico once or twice a year to do mission work.  He is enrolled at the Free Will Baptist Bible College taking classes through the lifetime learning program.  He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee-Martin with a B.S. degree in Natural Resource Management and is employed by the State of Tennessee-Department of Agriculture.  His wife is a graduate of East Tennessee State University and is employed as a nurse in Johnson City, TN.  Our pastor received his private pilot license in October 2008.  He enjoys preaching the word of God and doing the work of a pastor.  He also enjoys flying, raising cattle, restoring old cars, hunting, fishing and traveling.  He has been blessed to travel to Israel the last two years (2009 &2010) to study and learn more about our LORD, Jesus!
